Transportation: Increase road capacity – it’s the most cost-effective way to get commuters where they need to go. Meet the needs of families, small businesses, and taxpayers, and respect the commuters’ choice to make the car their primary mode of transportation. Save taxpayer dollars and avoid worsening congestion by retrofitting and preserving the viaduct, which connects neighborhoods and serves businesses.
Some far left extremists in the environmentalist movement believe that cars, highways, and fossil fuels are pushing the planet toward disaster, and that higher gas prices are necessary to "force people out of their cars" and "force people off the roads" and "deal with climate change."
The people of the 7th congressional district need reduced congestion and lower energy prices. Treating automobiles, roads, and gasoline as “evil” ignores the legitimate needs of voters, citizens, and taxpayers.
